Although the loose English translation cannot fully capture the epicness of the legendary couplet about Jin Yong’s novels, any true wuxia fan would know about the 14 masterpieces described here. The legendary wuxia author aptly named one of the “Three Legs of Wuxia Tripod,” has produced works that captured a widespread following not only in native Chinese communities but also in various other countries: his novels have been translated into many languages, including English, French, Korean, Japanese, and more.

Many 90s kids grew up reading Jin Yong’s wuxia novels and fell in love with the story, the characters, the setting, etc., and we are no exception. Many sleepless nights were spent following the heroic journey and love story of Yang Guo, the Red Blossom Society’s rebellion against Qianlong, or Wei Xiaobao’s clever schemes.

As big fans of wuxia who are familiar and in love with these novels and their characters, we have never been more proud to introduce World of Masters, a next-gen play-to-earn card game based on the Binance Smart Chain. It is the blockchain-based version of Tan Minh Chu, the most successful card game in Vietnam in the entire first half of 2021, with the highest downloads in March, April, and May.

World of Masters is the fourth generation in a long-standing and highly successful series of kung fu card battle games in Vietnam developed by HikerGames. Drawing inspiration from Jin Yong’s various heroes, combining it with excellent gameplay, graphics, and cutting-edge blockchain technology, World of Masters delivers you into the wuxia world of the digital age.

The game’s narrative

There is an ancient feud in this world. Two primordial forces — the Gods of Order and Gods of Chaos — have fought each other since the dawn of time. The Chaos is behind many brutal wars and constant conflict, believing in a predatory world where only the strong can survive. However, the Gods of Order believe in harmony, hoping that all creatures can live and prosper in peace.

Unfortunately, it was a short-lived hope. In a deadly battle, the Gods of Chaos were victorious. After defeating the Order, they opened a dimensional portal connecting all parallel universes and merged all other realities into the current one, where they took over and won the war.

But after all the embers of war and destruction, hope still lives on. The remaining survivor from the Gods of Order’s forces escaped to form a small resistance — the Order faction now tries to unite with their multiverse clones to try and revive their Gods, bringing the world back to how it was. In contrast, agents of Chaos are driven by murderous intent, seeking to eliminate the rest of Order and even killing their multiverse clones, absorbing more and more power.

Completely free-to-play

As a highly experienced team of game developers whose products have led the top rankings in the App Store and Play Store, we think a big problem with many play-to-earn games is that the entry barrier is too high. More often than not, players have to invest a lot of money just to access the game.

Recognizing this issue, we decided to adopt the free-to-play model. We strongly believe in having many players form a robust, lively in-game community and make things a bit more competitive and exciting. As a result, free players can experience most of World of Masters’ main features, with only one specifically for paying players.

Various ways to earn with PvE

World of Masters players will be able to earn through various PvE activities. First of all, simply adventuring through the world map, doing quests, and fighting bosses will grant you some tokens.

Secondly, Bounty Hunting is a feature that earns you the most tokens: you assign your characters — Heroes — to various bounty missions that have specific requirements. Upon completing the tasks assigned, players receive token rewards based on the level and quality of Heroes.

Last but not least, you should also check out the Dungeon: a unique area only available once per day. By defeating bosses on the two floors in a Dungeon, you can receive rewards. However, you should note that the level of challenges in Dungeons will be significantly higher; to balance this out, you can borrow NFT Heroes from top players, or better yet, become one of them and lend out yours!

Dominate the Arena to get the spoils of war

Our PvP activities revolve around the Arena and your ranking in it. There will be 12 separate rank tiers, each having 100 spots. Challenge other players and win to advance through these ranks; winning against high-ranking opponents will even net you extra points. Every day, players will receive a reward based on their current ranking positions.

In addition, there will also be extra limited events that are occasionally added to the game. These events only last 1–2 weeks but will be the chance for you to snatch juicy bonuses according to your rank at the end. These bonuses can be NFTs, upgrade material, tokens, gold, etc.

And thus, the ultimate fate of the multiverse lies in the hands of the masters. It lies in YOUR hands. Will you fight and free the multiverse or turn a blind eye to an eternity of misfortune?
