World of Masters — Missions, and Goals
“The only good GameFi is the one that achieved a perfect balance between the gameplay and the economy.” — Master Oogway.
When the world first observed the phenomenon known as Axie Infinity, many people were captivated by the concept of GameFi. “Video games where you can play AND earn real money? Sign me up!.” And indeed, that’s what many people did: Joining Axie Infinity, paying loads of cash, and hoping to cash out money from playing.
The Goals of the Masters
At World of Masters, we believe that the future of GameFi lies in games with quality gameplay, graphics, and an adequately operated token economy that can approach or even surpass traditional video games.
The in-game graphics are crucial for an immersive metaverse experience: WofM 3D graphic style combined with swift animation will attract many users. However, when it comes to GameFi, the financial part has constantly plagued the blockchain gaming industry for some time (i.e., token price plummeting after launch).
As a result, World of Master is reinventing the wheel so that the token economy will be sustainable in the long run. But, first, a successful GameFi should consist of a dedicated player base:
- Pay-to-win users: Some players are willing to pay to collect rare items, pay to get better, or get stronger and overcome challenging quests.
- Grinders/Farmers: Players specialize in farming tokens, rare items, and materials trading.
- Investors: Traders specialize in brokers, token speculation, and items.
And secondly, we publishers and developers are responsible for creating the game world defining the basic rules; however, the players themselves have all the rights to determine how the World of Master moves forward.
A mission ahead
With World Of Master, we challenge ourselves to create a game that appeals to traditional gamers, crypto-gamers, and investors and traders alike. Furthermore, we prioritize users’ experience during their journey: The roadmap is planned for the whole of next year so that the user experience is not interrupted and there is always something new to discover.
We can see that traditional gamers are still skeptical of blockchain video games and the negative association with NFTs. The gamers’ community backlashed Ubisoft’s attempt at implementing NFTs, and going past that is not an easy feat. This negative outlook will be World of Master’s most challenging task: lead and motivate millions of traditional gamers to become crypto gamers.
Are these really video games?
The success of Axie led to a massive surge of GameFi trend, with countless video games pumped out by video game studios (and people who have never made a single video game before). Hundreds of Axie clones appear overnight, promising users significant earning figures if they join their ecosystems.
At Hiker Games, we consider those clones “empty husks” that capitalize on users’ naivety. Coming from the traditional gaming space, we think there are many ways to make a game “good,” and carefully crafting the game from the ground up is one of them. World of Master was thoroughly tested and played by millions of Vietnamese gamers, with many positive reviews.

All in all, World of Masters will be tackling one of the most significant obstacles of GameFi: balancing between gameplay, token economy, and captivating a dedicated audience. However, our effort cannot be accomplished alone and overnight.
